The Junior League of Madison is led by a volunteer board, elected annually by our membership.

Sarah Barnes, President

Sarah Barnes is the President-Elect for Junior League of Madison. She began her league career in 2016, and has served in a number of different leadership roles, including Nominating Chair and Finance VP. She is a past recipient of the New Member of the Year award and Volunteer of the Year award. 

Sarah’s community involvement extends beyond the Junior League of Madison. She currently serves on a number of different nonprofit boards, including The Arc Dane County, Access to Independence, and The Business Forum. 

Professionally Sarah is an attorney, and a graduate of Edgewood College and Marquette University Law School. She grew up in southern Wisconsin and has lived in Madison since 2003.

Kate Fletcher, Executive Vice President

Kate Fletcher serves as Executive Vice President for the Junior League of Madison. She joined League after moving back to the Badger State from California in 2020. Kate has previously held the role of New Member Advisor and been an active participant on the Membership Team.

Kate is a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley holding her Certified Retirement Planning Counselor and Financial Planning Specialist designations. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Kate graduated with a degree in Materials Engineering from Michigan Technological University and began her professional career in San Francisco working as a materials engineer. In her free time, Kate enjoys volunteering in the community, traveling, playing golf, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.

Crystal Weinberger, Secretary

Crystal Weinberger serves as Secretary for the Junior League of Madison. She has been an active member for 6 years, since transferring from the Junior League of Minneapolis. She has served on the Membership and Communications teams. Most recently, Crystal served as the Webmaster for  3 years and Chair of the Nominating Committee last year.

A native of Wisconsin, Crystal graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2004 with Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Political Science. She completed her Master’s in Business Administration in 2013 from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Her professional experience includes over 15 years of administrative service in the fields of healthcare, nonprofit management and academic medicine.

Danielle Marriner, Nominating Chair

Danielle is Nominating Chair for the Junior League of Madison. She joined the League in 2019, and most recently served as the Webmaster. 

A native of the Milwaukee area, Danielle earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MS in Administrative Leadership, Higher Education Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In her professional life, she specializes in the career and leadership development of college students and staff, currently serving as the Assistant Director for Career Services Training and Community Development at UW-Madison. Danielle’s other interests include reading, traveling, movies, and exploring local restaurants.

Ginger Gant, Sustainer Vice President

Ginger was a founding member of the Junior League of Madison in 1988.  She was President from 1992-94. Currently, she serves as Sustainer VP. 

Currently, Ginger is the Executive Administrator @Vermillio, where creators can quickly and easily generate new fan experiences – all while making sure their works is authenticated and they are compensated for the AI created content.  Previously she worked @Endsulin @NetworkedInsights and owned Ginger & Company, an events firm.  

Lucky with family and friends, Ginger is GG to her one-year-old granddaughter, Ella Jane.

Angel Tang, Community Chair

Angel Tang currently serves as the Community Chair for the Junior League of Madison. She has been an active member since 2020, and has lived in Madison since 2018. Under the previous League structure, Angel served on the Membership and Community teams.

Angel grew up in Los Angeles before attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio for her Bachelor’s degree and then UW-Madison for her Master’s in Library and Information Studies. She is a Science & Engineering Librarian at UW-Madison, where she teaches students and researchers how to navigate information resources and evaluate information critically, supports researchers with research data management, and provides software and data wrangling instruction through the Carpentries on campus.

 Outside of work she loves salsa dancing, outdoor activities, and spending time with her pets.
